We do not have an online booking system. Please call us at 212-239-3333 to check avilability and to make or change existing reservations. Someone will answer the phone 24 hours a day. You can email us at couriercar@yahoo.com with simple questions or inquiries, but calling is, by far, the best way to reach us.
NO. We need a physical, valid driver's license to rent you a vehicle. We accept foreign and domestic driver's licenses.
Any vehicle picked up at one of our 2 NYC locations (Midtown or LIC) can be returned at either of these locations, free of charge. Rentals picked up in NYC CAN NOT be returned in New Jersey and rentals picked up in New Jersey CAN NOT be dropped off in NYC.
We accept all debit cards EXCEPT for Chase and TD Bank debit cards. We do not accept prepaid cards, gift cards or reloadable cards.
Midtown and LIC are always OPEN 24 hours so you can pick up and drop off any time you like!
Customers can not leave their vehicles or park rented vehicles at any of our pickup or drop-off locations. However, we are pleased to offer overnight parking (for an additional fee) for our commerical vehicles (cargo vans or trucks) rented to corporate accounts. Click here to read more.
We will authorize your card for a minimum of $500 before we release a vehicle to you. The money may be unavailable to you for up to 30 days, especially when you use a debit card.
No. All C.C. rental vehicles can be driven with a regular driver's license.
Every vehicle we own has an EZ Pass transponder. Every toll you go through will be charged to this EZ Pass. There is a $1.50 charge PER TOLL. Toll charges are charged to the credit card on file for the rental separately within 48 hours of you passing through a toll. So after your rental is over, you will usually see a charge for the rental total and possibly several other small charges for each of the tolls you drove through.
Yes. If an account is set up beforehand, (by completely filling out and emailing us our credit authorization form, which can be found on our RENTAL FORMS page), then you can send a different driver to pick it up. Just make sure they have a valid driver's license and that they know the name the reservation is under.
Our practice is to automatically send emails to the email on file for an account, but you can always call us at 212-239-3333 and specifically ask us for an email of a reservation or a receipt to be sent to a specific address.
We mark down the gas level when you pick up and when you drop off your vehicle. If you return it with less gas than what we gave it to you with, we will CHARGE you. If you return it with more gas than what we gave it to you with, we will CREDIT you.
We do not offer unlimited mileage on any rentals. For rentals less than 1 month, we give 100 free miles per day. Longer term rentals are 1500 free miles per month. Additional miles are 15 cents each for cars and 26 cents each for all other vehicles.
NO! Every EZ Pass transponder is registered for a particular model of vehicle and a specific license plate. All tolls on our rentals must go through our EZ Pass system. Please do not remove our EZ Pass from our vehicle and do not bring your EZ Pass in our vehicle or they will both get charged!
The City of New York Transportation Authority publishes trucks routes. A link to a digital map of NYC truck routes will open if you click on this text. A hard copy can be ordered online. Also, an app called TruckMap can be dowloaded from any app store and used for navigation!
